The iPhone DevTeam formally announces the availability of “xpwn 0.3”.
This is the new version of Planetbeing's cross-platform jailbreaking library and command-line utility.
This is a command-line based, developer-centric tool that provides the core features similar to that of the Mac OS X tool “PwnageTool”.
The sources are open and freely downloadable and have been compiled and tested on Linux, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.
xpwn provides support for first and second generation devices and supports the PwnageTool “FirmwareBundles” files.
